Happy Hallowe'en, and Merry Samhain, to all. :-)

I have my costume at the ready (though I won't be able to wear it until after work. Condemnation upon that company!)
It involves a "Celt" shirt (From my one attempt at Garb), a Raven mask, a tattered black velvet and chiffone (sp) skirt, a lot of facial doodles (in black, because I don't have blue liquid, and it'll smudge if I use pencil), and possibly a silver lamme bodice/breast-plate.
Sadly, I'm still lacking the big, red cloak. (But I have a big, black cloak, and that would probably substitute quite easily).

We'll see what works. :-)

In other news: Paul and I watched Constantine last night. It was good -- not particularly thought-provoking (unfortunately), but it was a fun evening's distraction. :-)
Sort of what you'd get if you took Stigmata and crossed it with Van Helsing. (not that I can spell).
And I got to see Tilda Swinton in action. Not a very huge role, mind you.

She's quite striking, though.
Like what you'd get if you crossed Emma Thompson with Cate Blanchet.
I can't help wondering if they chose her as much for her height as for her height and her very thin build as for her acting ability. (See: She played Gabriel --> Who, to my knowledge, is a hermaphrodite. Tall, tall, skinny girl in a boy-cut pants suit might look just boyish enough to pass for androgynous... Not that anyone was going to be fooled, but it was a nice attempt. A good effect. :-)
