Some fuckers gone and stolen my fiance's identity. (As in held jobs using his SIN#, taken out car loans in his name, applied for (and recieved) credit cards and a GST# (business stuff) under his name, and beyond...)

As he says, it's a good thing the mortgage is in *my* name.
It's going to take a few months to sort this out.
Yeesh. (Surprisingly: The Leo horoscope in one of those free news papers today said "someone you don't like will borrow money". Which was... somewhat applicable, I would say. Anyway.).
So yea. This sucks. On the plus side, it's not screwing with us right now. I mean, Paul can't apply for loans or anything because his credit is shot. But I can. So if we need to take out a mortgage (which we will in a few years, because we'll need a bigger house) or something, we just do it under my name, and we should be okay. (Pardon me whilst I knock on wood -- will have to drop a prayer in to Mitzu, methinks...)
But this is not so good from the perspective of, oh, say... a small-business loan with-which to open a natural-health clinic. Which is what he'll be doing eventually. So this will have to be dealth with as quickly as possible. Thankfully, he knows what he's doing. :-) ('Cause boy would I be lost).
