Trust Me. This Entire Post is More Information Than You Need.

So...

Last night I dreamed that Paul and I had sex.
It was (apparnetly) realistic enough that when I got up this morning I had to ask: Did we have sex last night (at around 4am)?
Apparently we did not. Although Paul was happy to hear what I was dreaming about. ;-)
My brain is good at detail work. :-)

What's funny is that, following this dream-that-I-thought-was-real, I had another dream (which I was quite sure was a dream 'cause, hello) which featured an old friend of mine.
She was my grade-two crush.
She ended up being in the same undergrad class as me back at Carleton (by-which-point the crush was over, but apparently some part of my brain is still carrying a torch of some sort...)

I dreamed that I was dating her (And that she had her long hair back). By-which I mean I dreamed that I was her lover as well as her sweetheart, although I didn't actually get to do any of that in my dream. (Oh, well).
We were riding a bus and walking through some sort of mall. I think I got her an ice cream cone, but I don't remember.
There was a jerk on the bus who was trying to harrass her (dick head). :-P

Two things that were funny/odd/interesting about said dream:
1) In my dream I thought something along the lines of "I am dreaming. I'm dreaming about the sex I just had with Paul and transfering all the happy-hormone stuff into this dream about Saleema... I wonder if Paul would be okay with this..." And stuff like that there...
2) I was *butch*. WTF??? I mean, I looked and dressed and moved exactly the same way I do now, but I *behaved* in a way that was both "gentlemanly-protective" and "stop lookin' at my girl".
Where the hell did that come from?
Interesting, if a bit unexpected. :-)

This, it seems, is what happens when the temperature and the humidity go up. I think it's because sweat is wet-slippery-salty (not to mention liberally laced with hormones) so it's easier for bodies to slip and flow together -- also, it means I don't get cold. ;-)

Anyway. Enough with the TMI. :-)

In other news: I just finished reading The Garden, which Ami lent me. :-)
It's quite good.
I must admit, I'm a bit (a lot?) disappointed with the Serpent's use of rohipnol near the end of the book.
I mean, yes, I expect it would have stopped if she's brushed it away but... Drugging her? That strongly suggests (given the state of the fish) that she wouldn't have been able to stop it if she'd wanted to.
Which is creepy.
I didn't like that bit. :-/

Otherwise, though. A good piece of work. :-)
A very interesting take on life in the Garden of Eden. :-)
