Whew.
So.
That's a Fest, is it?
Not bad. :-)
We got in about 20 minutes before the women's rit in the morning.
It was nice.
A lot of sharing and bearing each-other up and such like. It was pleasant, and not too formal. And that I liked, as well. :-)
(It lasted an hour and a half. :-)
Marisol, Jesse (who is a nice fellow, and much more mature than his age suggests), and I had a picnic lunch and then Marisol and I went in swimming.
I LOVE SWIMMING NAKED!
IT'S AWESOME!
:-D
Moving on... :-)
We went shopping -- handing out business cards along the way, I might add (people seemed quite interested in my subject, for the most part -- hurrah! -- we'll see if they follow up on it) -- and we got Stuff.
Stuff:
- One sarong in royal blue and black (with a celtic knot-work pattern), which is wonderful, because I can *always* use another sarong. :-)
- One shiny-pretty pendant of a very stylized goddess figure (the sort with a small round stone at the top and a big inverted tear-drop as the rest of the pendant?) -- The head is garnet and the body is moonstone.
Woohoo! :-D
And that's my stuff. :-)
Whee! :-D
The people who ran the main ritual were a southern ontario coven called Magickal Estrogen -- a women's coven (obviously) -- so I went and bugged them after the ritual. They've got a reasonably wide age-range and (woohoo!) love talking about This Stuff (my thesis topic).
So: Score! :-D
I look forward to being in contact with them! :-)
Anywhoo, after the main ritual, we went for another swim, and then we went home. :-)
Lorayne asked if I would come for the whole time next year.
Here's what I think:
I enjoyed the day-trip quite a bit. (Part of this has to do with the weather -- not too hot, but not cold either, and very few mosquitoes! But most of it was due to nice people and a laid-back atmosphere).
I would probably enjoy an over-night trip (two days, one night in a tent) just as much -- or nearly so, depending on what my sleep was like.
I do, however, think that five days and five nights would be too much for me to handle.
Given how totally exhausted I was after a grand total of eight hours? Yeah... I'm introverted enough that I would get overwhelmed at some point, and just need to go home.
But.
Day-trip? That was fantastic. :-)
