Well,
I'm finally on Nat-Rel. (Thanks to Lucie! Woo-hoo! :-)
And so are a big heap of Big Nose Pagan Schollars.
Yowzah!
I mean, how often do you get letters from Wendy Griffin? (Not that she's writing to me personally, mind you, but it's still cool to have her name show up in the "from" column. ;-)
In other news.: I went shopping today. :-)
I got:
"The Mummy" for $3.99 (from the dollar store -- we'll see how well it works)
Two turquoise tank tops (2 for $15) from Suzy Shier -- to go with my navy suit
A set of hair-sticks. Score. :-) I finally figured out how to get my hair to
stay up like that. I'm going to wear it like this to work on Friday and
see if people notice my new hair do. ;-)
Four Books from a discount bookstore:
Wolf Brother (fabulous "propaganda book" about a kid who can speak with
trees and animals and everyone else)
The Burning Crown (sequel to "The Serpent's Egg" -- fantasy story set in
Ottawa. Highly recommended).
Tales of Nokomis (Ojibwah stories told by an Oji woman who grew up on a
reserve -- shouldn't be inaccurate. Good for kids, perhaps?)
Mirror Mirror (By the same guy who wrote "Confessions of an Ugly
Stepsister" and "Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked
Witch of the West". He's *very* good. I'm looking
forward to this. :-)
Thinking about splurging on "The Art of Discworld". They only had two copies, so if it's still there when next I'm in, I think I'll just take it as a sign and get the thing. :-)
Whee! :-) New books are fun! :-)
Anywhoo. I'm off. :-) Paul and I are going to watch <*wince*> american idol <*sigh*> in a few minutes.
He's been following it online for a while now, and he asked if I wanted to watch it tonight.
He needs more down-time.
So we're going to watch it. :-)
We'll see how that goes. ;-)
So. That's it for me. :-)
Tomorrow is my day off. I will make soup to freeze (since we're running low), and make notes on "Inventing Rites of Passage". We'll see what else happens. :-)
- Nam'ara,
- Amazon. :-)
