:-D
I loved it. It was awesome. With, y'know, actual character development and everything. I am overwhelmingly thrilled by this movie. I suspect that I'll enjoy #1 more, but #3 is quite a grand old thing, too. :-D
Wheeheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! :-D
Regarding James Norrington: I am not at all surprised. Not at all. Not even a little tiny bit.
Regarding Calipso: Ha! See? Not just some manipulative nymph on a rock. Take that Homeric Translations! Mwahahahaha!
Regarding Elizabeth: I like that Singapore-style Pirate outfit, and the sword-fighting-dance-of-promises was pretty awesome to watch, although that applies to Will, too.
Regarding The Braveheart Speach: No, really. You know the one I mean. :-)
I think it's neat that the flag The Black Pearl flies is (I think - Moria, you'll know this better than I do) the one flown by another famous Jack. :-)
Anyway, I think I managed to word things in a way that wasn't totally spoilerific. Which brings me to a not particularly spoilery question which, none the less, I shall put
Question: What's the point of the *actual* pieces of eight, then? Symbolism? Sort of a Pirate version of The King's (or who-ever's) Shilling? Also, I don't quite understand the significance of the song. Can someone explain that to me? 'Cause at the moment, it just looks like a rather sad-yet-rousing musical number in the opening scene.
Whee! :-D What a lovely afternoon. :-D
- TTFN,
- Amazon.
Oh: Hyel: How does Dickon talk?
Oh. And my Within Temptation CD ("The Silent Force") arrived today. Woohoo! :-D Ever-so-Yummy Music! :-D
- TTFN,
- Me. :-)
