Thing One: We've have one, sometimes two, kitten(s) visiting our back yard with a reasonable degree of regularity.
One is an orange-and-white (almost definitely a boy) and the other is all black (I have no idea), and they are both utterly cute as hell. :-) I've seen the wee boy more often. :-)
They sit on our back steps and sun themselves.
(And drink from the rain-water collecting in our barbicue-cover-tarp... um... not sure exactly how healthy that last bit is...).
I hope they stick around. I think they're adorable.
And Paul thinks they're adorable, too, so that's nice. :-)
(And, no, I'm not letting them inside).
:-)
Thing Two: I went to brunch today and almost fainted. :-\ That was really, really, really wierd. I guess I haven't been eating enough lately.
Which, none the less, is really, really, really wierd in itself, because I usually eat like a hummingbird. I mean, really. :-\ So I'm going to get Paul to take a look at my circulatory system and clean it out/fix it if it needs it (which it probably does - blasted bad circulation...).
Thing Three: I have posted Part Seven of my on-going Trin/Switch fic. Yay! (It keeps getting longer... This is kind of cool. :-)
Thing Four: I have actually hacked up my old pair of girl-boots and am trying (trying) to make myself a new pair of boots built onto the soles of the old ones.
This may or may not work out too badly. We shall see.
It will involve both really long zippers and boning.
The boning I have. The zippers I need.
It will, quite likely, also involve something like Rubber Cement - or something else that will stick the new upper to the remains of the old boot (I kept the toe-cap, the heel-wrap and a 1cm 'lip' around the sole attached, so that I would have something to-which I could sew the new upper). So far, I have about one third of one boot done.
So far, so good. Now I just need to work on them some more. :-)
Whee! :-D Eventual new boots[1] for me! :-D
Thing Five: Paul and I went to see "Bye-Bye Bytown" with his best friend, Zev, and Zev's wife Julie. It is a musical about Ottawa's history.
Ye gods, people, do not waist your money!
Propaganda, Really Bad Lyrics, and only two (*maybe* three) members of the cast actually have decent singing voices.
Avoid it like the plague and go see something else.

With that in mind, we left half-way through, and went to Nate's Deli instead. I had a bagel w/ lox and cream cheese.
I'm not wild about Nate's Deli, but it's not too bad, and it was close-by, especially given the rain.
Thing Six: I am *loving* the current spate of "I Have No Clue What I'm Doing" weather. Why? Because the combination of sudden, heavy rain with equally sudden brilliant sunlight allows me to play dress-up in my rubber-suede coat Mi

:-D
I feel like a really sheepish twit, but it's *awesome*.
It's like finding out that, *really*, the only appropriate clothing for a given 'normal' situation is a tricorn hat and capris. It's fantastic! :-D
<*bounces like a complete idiot*>
Really.
I'm enjoying this *far* too much. :-D
Hee! :-D
That is all. :-D

[1] They'll be proper knee-high ones, too. With a nifty raised pattern on the fabric and everything. :-) I'm making the new uppers out of an old skirt I inheritted from my mom which no-longer fits me even remotely. :-)
