As for the actual subject of this post: I've been doing more thinking on Nano. As such, I present to you:
The Casting Call:
Captain Kit (Katriana) Cox:
Dai Dickson:
Cas LaRosse (Maaaaaaaaaaybe... Suggestions are welcome. Think "Pepper", from Good Omens, but about 10 years older):
Del (Franky DeLaurier):
Maggie (Doctor Margarita Santos):
I figure if I can find thespians who fit the characters, then I'll have somewhere to go when I'm drawing a blank for body language or something. :-)
Still need to cast:
Nita: White gal, very blond hair, blue/green eyes (or not). Late thirties. Strong body, good muscle tone. Gritty. The kind of person you could see decking someone who pissed her off, while holding a smoke in her teeth. Suggestions[1]? :-)
Jinx: Possible Asian, possibly not. A sort of Harry Kim:TNG, if you will, except more nervous and less prone to following the rules.
Suggestions would be appreciated. :-)
Susanne (Del's fiancee): White gal, dark brown hair. Brown eyes. 5'6"/5'7"? Age = 28-32. Lissom. Able to do "exhausted but carrying on". Able to do "terminal illness". (Bit of a marry-sue? Yeah, probably...)
And anyone else who shows up. Y'know, like a villain or something? That might be helpful. ;-)
In other Nano-related news: I have found a location!
"Flight of the Valeda" (working title - will probably change) will be set in the Epsilon Eridani system, in the year 3308. (I figure by then, human's will have figured out how to do inter-solar-system travel and terraforming and all that useful stuff. 1300 years... we *might* be able to do it. :-)
The various planets and moons will find names eventually, but so far that's all I've got. :-)
Anyway, that's it for me tonight. Now I go and edit poems. Whee! :-)
