Dammit, I want a bigger house.
Further to this afternoon's (this morning's?) post, I have discovered that I cannot, in fact, *fit* sixteen chairs around my dining room table (or even *in my dining room*) at once.
Dammit. :-P
So if I have more than six people (not counting me and Paul) in for dinner at a time, it's going to be buffet-style and sitting on the couch. Period.
I'm currently day-dreaming about said bigger house - it is round and is made out of seriously sustainable materials and all the rest of it.

Note: The sunken living/dining space. :-) Because I think that's cool. :-)
Note: I don't know where I'll put the stairs down to the basement level.
That long, divided rectangular thing?
That's the space-for-sixteen-when-fully-extended ebony-stained dining room table with matching chairs (the bits with the red dots - both on the table and on the chairs? Those are all things that fold away neatly inside a storage closet designed specifically to hold them all - which would be *in* the dining room, possibly part of the huge, built-in china cabinet, or possibly not).
I can dream. :-)
In other news: I picked up Paul's Yuletide present today (a new novel - part of series that's already four novels long). I hope he enjoys it. It looks like a good (epic, high-fantasy - he likes that stuff) yarn. :-)
- TTFN,
- Amazon. :-)
