I am, inconveniently, in one of those situations where I'm hungry (have been since five in the morning, despite eating all day long) and yet don't want to actually cook anything.

Tomorrow night is this:

Photobucket

I don't know if any of my shots made it into the final collection (personally, I rather doubt it), but we shall see.
Note to self (as much as to anyone else): The gallery is on Cumberland between Clarence and Murray.

Randomly:My shiny new books are due to arrive some time next week (hurrah!)

Order Includes:
Bi Lives: Bisexual Women Tell Their Stories (Kata Orndorff)
Pagaian Cosmology: Re-Inventing Earth-Based Goddess Religion (Glenys Livingstone)
Brown Girl in the Ring (Nalo Hopkinson)
Home To You (CD by Po'Girl)
Annwyn Beneath The Waves (CD by Faith and the Muse)

Also Randomly: I am immensely relieved that it is Friday tomorrow. Even though I haven't practiced my singing all week. :-P (Isn't it sad? I got home at about 4:15 and I was totally ready to go to bed as soon as I walked in the door).

I am not making a skirt tonight. I thought about it - a black-on-black herringbone thing with a pixie/handkerchief hem - but I just don't feel like doing the work. (I'm lazy. Let's just face that fact right now). Besides, I'm not quite sure it would work...
The original plan was to make a very short A-line skirt (About mid-thigh) and then sew a wide triangle (er... the kind with two equal sides and one unequal side? "I-sauce-a-leez"? But with the unequal side being longer?) across the front and one across the back, so that the long sides met up at the skirt seams. However I'm not sure if this would translate well into a 3D garment, or if I would end up with buckets of fabric at the sides, and general flatness at the front.
If anyone reading this sews a lot, can you let me know how that would turn out?

I think I will make myself some scrambled eggs for dinner. (Depending on how many eggs I have, I might hard-boil some for tomorrow, as well).
This week, alas, has not been a good one for lunch-making. :-P
I do, at least, have fixings for tuna sandwiches now (all I need is the will to actually make the damn things...) Part of me says "Why bother? Why not just buy your food from the cafeteria tomorrow and worry about making proper lunches *next* week, after you've had a chance to stock up on yoghurt and carrot sticks and such-like again?" Which, given that I'm all out of carrot sticks and all out of (delicious, delicious Liberty Mediterranean) vanilla yoghurt, and all out of (Fresh) fruit, and so-on, might actually be a tolerable idea.

Anyway. (Clearly this is on my mind). :-)

In other news (well, sort of news):
I have two small boxes of perfume samples. They're all BPAL. One is the box of stuff that works on me. (It's funny - I've got this stuff, but I wear it fairly rarely. I'm starting to wear it more often, as I remind myself to do, since it doesn't appear to be giving anyone the Horrible Reactions around the office. Yay!)

The other box, however, is the stuff that *doesn't* work on me. Most of this is floral (which, on me, turns to soap and overpowering Perfume Stink - no matter what type of flowers are in the blend) or contains Dragon's Blood (which, on me, turns to Burning Rubber - much to my dismay).

So if anyone wants to try some perfume, let me know.

I have the following:

Laudanum
La Petite Mort
Queen of Sheba
Twilight
Morgause
Vampire Tears (Sheyrena)
Wrath (Sheyrena)
Loviatar (Sheyrena)
Mag Mell (Callwolf)
Dragon's Milk (Callwolf)
Dragon's Hide (Callwolf)

Type the name into the BPAL search-engine (here) and you can find out all about them.

Strictly speaking, it's not quite $30 worth of perfume oils. I'd love to trade for this stuff (other perfumes, or bath products in general, or whatever), but mostly I just want to get rid of it in a way that won't involve bubble-wrap envelopes or postage.
Any takers?
For any of them?
Anyone curious? :-)

I have to e-mail my "Stars Return" bio to the organizers before I go to bed (soon). It's due today. (Hopefully it won't sound too stupid)... Eugh. I sort of despise writing those things. 70-85 words to say Who You Are and What You've Accomplished. <*sigh*>

Part of me wants to say that "Amazon dreams in colour and writes smut as a hobby", but I don't think that would go over too well with the rest of the choir. <*shrug*> Besides, my mother might end up reading this, and I don't feel like telling her I write porn (fic or original or otherwise).
Eugh.

Best go and send it off.

- TTFN,
