Tried to call my potential doctor from work. Did not succeed. Must re-check phone number and make sure I wrote down the right thing because I was definitely NOT getting the right number.
Went shopping after work.
Picked up Diva from HMV (my gods, but their CD selection is getting tinier by the day - pity...) as well as "The Matrix: Revisited" because I really am obsessing over this thing.
Also stopped in a Trivium (for the second time ever) and picked up two sets of over-the-knee stockings (billed as mid-thigh, but yeah right, not on me). One is black fishnets w/ satin bows at the top, and the other is black and purple stripies.
Sadly, situations beyond their control meant that my suitcase people couldn't drop by to pick up their goodies today - they will come on Wednesday, instead. :-)
I spent the evening re-stringing my lapis-and-pearl necklace onto beading wire. It's a good two or three inches shorter than it was, though, because I took out most of the more yellow/white stones. (I was a bit distressed, although not that surprised, to realize that the stones have had their colour upped due to dye... That's michael's for you. <*sigh*>)
Anyway, it's now on proper wire and crimped and everything, so I can safely wear it to work under my coat and not be afraid of having it break. :-) So that is good.
I cooked up the rest of the pancake batter for dinner, and boiled some eggs to take to work tomorrow. :-) Not a hugely 'productive' evening, but not too bad, either.
In other news: There was NOTHING for me to do at work today. I finished up the remains of Friday's task some time between 8:30 and 10am. By 11:30 I had done everything that was left in the in-basket, including one that was supposed to be done by someone else (who was away today).
So, yes. Basically, I spent the day writing a letter on company time while periodically sticking my head 'round my boss's door and saying "Anything?" in a hopeful voice.
It felt very, very weird.
<*shrug*> <*quirky face*> <*head-shakey*> <*etc*>
Anyway, hopefully there will be actual job-related tasks available for me tomorrow.
Must go to sleep now, I think. It's quarter to 9pm.
Nighty-night, all (gods, I really am tired...).
- TTFN,
- Amazon.
