Soooooo...
I've been making jewelery again. :-)
Have made two necklaces (and I know who's getting each of them, too! :-)
One is silver leaves and turquoise balls, accented with pink pearls.
The other is a gold leaf pendant with red coral (probably dyed) balls, accented with copper (definitely dyed) pearls (little round ones and big, flat, wacky-looking 'horny pearls').
I've also started working on a collar necklace for me - three strands of hematite balls accented with larger red (dyed) fossil balls. The red is, sadly, a tad on the orange side BUT it will still look really nice if I wear it with the cami that is a similar shade of slightly orange-tinged red. I think I can pull it off, anyway. :-)
In other frivolous-accoutrement-related news: I have bitten the bullet and risked buying shoes online.
They cost $53US (including shipping) and should be here in, well, probably about two months knowing my luck, but hey: Just in time for summer. :-)
They have 4.5" chunky heels and 1"-thick soles, are black patent, open toed, wide-fit, and have ankle straps.
I am gleeful. :-)
I will be that much more gleeful when they get here. (Perhaps I should be looking for drag queen shoes that are sold in Canada...). If I like them, I'll probably order from them again. :-) Also: I found a drag website that sells office-appropriate ballet flats. In my size! (That said, $65 + shipping = about what I'd pay if I picked those sorts of things up at Tall Crest here in town, but still. It's good to know that they're available. :-)
In other news: As it turned out, the CDA driver was sick, so they're doing the pick-up tomorrow. :-) I'll have to remember to put the bag out again tonight. :-)
Tonight, I need to go over my choir music for Saturday.
Tomorrow I get to see the lovely and brilliant Torrain, and return her spring-form pan (well, section there-of) to her. :-) This, I suspect, will be lovely. :-)
Also:
Geoffrey Chaucer Hath a Blog.
What a very, very loverly idea. :-)
