So.
My internet has been out of sorts for the last two days.

Now I tell you what I've been doing in that time. :-)

I have talked to Sara. (Apparently her lovers, whom I met at her play-party, took a bit of a shine to me. So I may get to play with them again. That would, I think, be nice. They're good people and I like them). Hearing her voice and getting to chat with her makes me happy. It's kind of wonderful. :-)

I ran into my friend, Neil, from highschool. He's back in town for a couple of days. He wonderfully bought me lunch (at Eggspectations, my very first time there), and we spent a couple of hours catching up and chatting about people and fun stuff we're gretting up to and so-on.

I went to see the Egyptian Mummy exhibit at the Museum of Civ. (It is pretty cool. Also, at the end of the exhibit, they have a sign up saying that "We don't know what the ancient Egyptians would think of our putting their bodies and their stuff (mostly grave goods) on display, but we would like to think that, by bringing their names and lives back into the light, we are contributing to the immortality they so desired. With that in mind, please feel free to make the following invocation to the spirits of the people whose bodies and grave goods are displayed here: I invoke an offering of milk, beer, bread, and all things good and pure to... and then it listed all the names of the people in the exhibit. Which I thought was both a really nice touch and... well... kind of a careful covering of their asses. ;-)

I went shopping. :-D

Went to Payless. I am now the gleeful owner of those shiny, shiny silver high heeled sandals. (Seriously, it's like wearing mirrors on my feet!) I feel like a goddess when I wear them, and totally want a one-shouldered, royal blue silk jersy dress that hugs my body deliciously, specifically to wear with them! :-D

Went to La Vie en Rose. Tried on four or five sets of lingerie. Liked a couple of bras (one of which was gorgeous but not totally comfortable, and one of which was gorgeous, but not *that* gorgeous), but decided to go for full sets.
I got a black lace set (brazillian underwear, garter belt and balconet bra) and red w/ black-lace overlay set - guess which shoes they go with - that includes a brazillian thong, a demi-cup bra (it might be a balconet, but I'm not sure) and a garter belt, though I didn't get the garter belt. Figured I'd be wearing them with mules/strappy!sandals anyway, so why bother.
They had a two-for-one sale on, so I got a sixth item.
A while back I got lingerie for Sara -- which fit and which she liked. So I got her another part of the set. Which I also think will actually fit her. Hurrah! (I have to admit, I'd feel totally chuffed and accomplished if I managed to find my Lady a bra that fits and flatters. Here's hoping I'm managed that job. ;-)
I've informed her that I got her something, but haven't told her what it is (yet). :-D (I wanted to pique her interest).
(Hee! She's back in two weeks! Or there-abouts! Hurrah! :-D)

I also went to the drug store and picked up hair dye, makeup brushes and, er, depilitory cream. That's... intersting. Definitely more comfortable than shaving when it comes to one's bikini line, and a lot easier to get at the hard-to-reach spots where I don't really want to be weilding anything with an edge.
Have yet to locate a bottle of China Glaze's "Red Stallion". But I'm hopeful. (I can always hunt one up online, if all else fails).

I went and looked in Trivium -- found a really pretty purple skirt (which I did not buy) with simple lines, an asymetrical hem and nifty metal details at the front and back. I want to see if I can make one for myself. Probably out of black denim. Hm. Hand-stitching a skirt. That should be... interesting.
Can do! :-D

Went to the dollar store and snagged a bunch of hair accessories, half of which (or more) I'm using to finish off my mask -- lots of shell-shaped beads and big hair-clips for the making of extensions. It's good fun. :-)

Anyway. I've been sitting in Umi since about noon, writing a love letter (by which I mean lust-letter) to Sara and chatting with this guy, Leo, who's a story-teller who reads his poetry at Umi on some of the Fridays when I'm here. :-)
Very interesting. Talking about Indigo people and spirit helpers and listening to nature and the kinds of food people need to thrive depending on what they are on the inside.

Anyway.

That's what I've been up to of late. Still hoping to get some work lined up. Ideally I'll find something next week.

Wish me luck and send me good vibes! :-D
