So.
I went to a lovely barbicue at Paul, Cat, and Kit's place last night. :-)
It was delightful. There were cababs, Arrogant Worms, people I hadn't seen in a while, and little cheese cake things (the last provided by me).
A good time was had by all. :-) (At least that's the impression I'm under).
And I got to return Cat's "League of Extraoridary Gentlement", which I've had for about six months (if not more). So that was good too. :-)
In other news: Venue-hunting approaches. :-) (Not that this is really news, at this point. ;-)
Must make appointments at various locations.
So far we have the NAC Fountain Room and the Salon booked 11:45, and the Chateau Laurier "Quebec Suite" booked for 1pm (although it still needs to be confirmed).
I've sent my Mom my list of places to go look. The only ones outside of Ottawa are the Strathmere Inn (which we may or may not wind up looking at), in North Gower, and the Brookstreet Resort which is in Kanata and so could, concievably, be bussed to. :-)
And that is a good thing. :-)
Hey, anyone who's got married in Ottawa: Did any of you check out the Britania Yacht Club or the New Edinburough Boat House? Cause those, plus the Art Gallery, are my top three picks.
