So, last night I had a massage.

It felt wonderful.

And my hand has yet to go numb today. So I think it's helped. :-D

With that in mind: Pimpage!

Angela Banks will be offering massage therapy for $25 a session at Algonquin College student massage clinic located in J Building on Fridays before 8pm, starting Sept. 22nd and lasting through the school year.

I suggest you check her out for all your massage therapy needs. :-D

Okay, so... News:

Idioglossia and Boozysmurf have bought a house. YAY! :-D

Idioglossia has an appartment in the building I'd like to live in.

I may (if Triole is okay with this) take over her lease - or something similar - and get her appartment.
In the Elizabeth.
Which is the building I wanted to be in all along, since it's three blocks from the Campus Transit Station (and, thus, three blocks from the Cheap Therapy!!!) and includes dishwashers in the appartments, laundry in the building, and all the utilities in the rent.

So that would be *awfully* handy.

All that said: I'm signed up to see two more places tonight. One is on Beausoleil and, to be honest, I'm considering not seeing it. It's rather "out of range", y'see. The other is on Bronson at James and, while that's far from perfect, it's still do-able. So I figure I can still go and see that one.

I'd rather have Idioglossia's place, though. :-)

All that done, I need to get myself home and pack.

I'm thinking of tackling the front hall closet today. It's got all my wreathes in it, plus a wodge of other decorating bits and bites and a bunch of shoes -- I need to decide which ones I'm keeping and which ones are going into the Sally Anne Box.
Must also (A) shower, and (B) move the pull-out couch so that it's easier to (eventually) take out of the house.

Other things on tap for this week:

Friday:
Leaving work early. (May be my last day - I don't think I'm getting extended. But I hope I'm wrong!)
Government Test #3,573,691. It's conveniently located at U of O and is for some HR position or other. We'll see how it goes.
Meet CSI_Tokyo and, possibly, Tchang for furniture-moving fun. Take loveseat and chair and footstool from my mom's garage and move them into my current residence. Back-work will follow. :-)
Meet Diurnal_Lee for coffee down town. (I am SO looking forward to this).

Saturday and Sunday:
Pack like a mad thing. Try to get as much stuff into boxes as possible, as I've only got two weeks left in the house, and it is Time to Get Done. Also hoping to get a look at Idioglossia's appartment this weekend, if possible. :-)

Monday:
Scribbling with Lunacy_Gal and who-knows-who-all-else. :-) Not sure if I'll be working on poetry or fic. Or BOTH. Who knows. ;-)

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday:
Hoping to have tea/coffee/happy-hour-food/get-to-know-you-time with a few different people. Will also have to deal with stragle-packing and, potentially, my sister being back at my place.
Will also, hopefully, be getting rid of the non-auction furniture on those evenings, though I can technically hold out for another week. My sister should, in theory, be picking up *her* furniture some time in the next week or so. So that will get *some* of the stuff out of the storage room.

Friday: Partay w/ Ami_B and Shiny_Brain :-D

This busy-ness is reminding me a lot of the two weeks leading up to my wedding, actually. Lots of neat stuff, lots of interpersonal stuff, something exciting at the end (well, sort of -- in this case, I'll be sleeping on various people's couches for a while, but still) and a LOT of running around.

Here's hoping it all turns out well. :-D

Sooooooooo...

Tomorrow is my last day at this job.
:-P

Obviously, I have nothing lined up for Monday (as of an hour ago, anyway).

Still, here's hoping I get something (and damn quick, please! None of this 11th hours stuff, if You All don't mind!) before the end of, say, the month. (Yeah, I know. Not likly. But hopefully I'll get something before the end of the first week of September. And something long enough to make me feel secure and my potential/future landlords feel happy about letting me live in their building).

On the plus side: NSERC just gave me an ice-cream cone. :-)
So things could be worse.

There is a meeting (which I may or may not have to attend - see above, but also: all I'm doing right now is formating name-tags. Not such a big deal, that) in 15 minutes.

And then there are appartment viewings.

I'm going to see Idioglossia's place tonight. Whee! Here's hoping it's as perfect and beautiful and well-sized and affordable as she says it is.
I confess, I'm a little worried. See, the website for the building says that *everything* is over $900/month, except the really small one, which is $825. Idioglossia's appartment is not the really small one. But she's paying far, FAR less than the website suggests is the rental price for any of the other units. So I'm hoping that she's right and the website is wrong and/or I misread it. Because this could work out and lay all my fears to rest, or it could be another bunch of high hopes totally dashed. But, obviously, I'm hoping for the possitive. ;-)

- TTFN,

If you have dog(s) and get toys from Four Paws, you might want to know about this.

Just passing the word along.
